Blake Maillet participated summer research program-2024 at University of New Mexico

Blake Maillet, undergraduate senior student who has been working last three years in Mia research lab recently complete a 10 week summer research program at University of new Mexico. The summer research program called the Undergraduate Pipeline Network (UPN) at the UNM, in a lab under Dr. Tomkinson. He was in a section funded by the Continuing Umbrella of Research Experiences (CURE) program. He worked on a therapeutic drug that can effectively inhibit the enzyme human DNA Ligase I in cancer cells. He also successfully presented the results from my research at UNM in early August of 2024.
